Caregiver's Manifesto
Caregiver's Manifesto
Inspired by the "Care Manifesto" by Mierle Laderman-Ukeles, penned (or typed, rather) in 1969, the "Caregiver's Manifesto" is a call to action, a reminder for self-care, and a high-five for all the emotional and physical labor caregivers muscle through each day. Composed of handset wood and metal type and linocut illustrations, this 11x14" poster was printed for the "Speculative Futures" print exchange in 2022. It was printed in a limited edition on acid-free cotton Lettra paper using a 1963 Vandercook SP15 printing press by Jessica Owings Crouch at the State Park Press in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Shipped flat and unframed, with an archival backing board for stability and enclosed in an archival clear bag or glassine envelope.
